I’m Alice, a newborn, maternity and family photographer in Rockhampton and Yeppoon, and I’d rather let your kids be exactly who they are: running, climbing, refusing to look at me.
Then I get right in the middle of it and make magic from the mayhem. (You’re allowed to join in, by the way. Highly encouraged.)
Because the good stuff’s hiding in the chaos: the cheeky sideways glance, the ear-to-ear grin the second someone gets flipped upside down, and the kids who ask if we can do it again before we’ve even finished.
By the end, the kids are worn out, everyone’s relaxed, and nobody said “cheese” once.

Our shoot day felt like home. When we finished, our son asked when we could do that again. The tears running down my face during our gallery session said it all.
To be clear, this isn't a hand-you-a-USB-and-wish-you-luck kind of thing.
I’m talking a session planned around you, a studio viewing where we choose your favourites together, and artwork I design, mock-up on your own walls, order, check over and deliver to your door.
With me, your photos don’t get lost on a hard drive or stuck on your phone… they end up on your wall, where you get to see them every single day.

You'd think a photographer would have beautifully documented all three of her own pregnancies. I didn't.
(Insert crying emoji x 1000.) I didn’t yet know how valuable those moments would become, and now most of what I’ve got is selfies in the bathroom mirror. I’m not big on regrets… but that one became the whole reason I do this.
So here’s my promise: you won’t be the one always behind the camera anymore. I’ll make sure you’re in it, holding them, being loved on by them, exactly as you are right now.
Because one day your kids will look back at these the way I look back at photos of my own mum… and think, gosh, she was gorgeous (and still is, might I add).

I didn’t feel ready. A small part of me wished I was 10 kilos lighter before stepping in front of the camera. But when I look at our gallery, I don’t see flaws. I see love. I see our boys with their parents.
