Family portrait sessions can feel like a lot of work between talking your loved ones into it, choosing what to wear and worrying if the kids will behave.
I get it! Family life can be chaotic. But that’s where the magic happens.
One recent family shared how their experience with me felt relaxed and fun for everyone and allowed them to be present with their kids.

Calming the chaos
“Her informative and reassuring emails definitely calmed the chaos when it came to figuring out a location for our session, what to wear so that everybody looked cohesive, which day and time to choose so that the kids would be well rested and ready to comply etc.
I would typically spend way too much time and energy stressing about these things; however, Alice made it very clear that the most important thing she needed from us was to be present on the day and just enjoy the time playing with our children.
With this in mind, the preparation phase was much easier and everyone went into the session feeling calm and positive – and the photos really showed this!”
My favourite part about our images from Alice is how well she managed to capture our children’s little personalities in a photograph! The kids were free to be themselves which totally put them at ease.
“Alice asked if there was anything about my babies that I never wanted to forget prior to the session and still, she captured moments that I had forgotten to even tell her about!
She caught that cheeky sideways glance my son sometimes does, that smile that appears from ear to ear when he goes ‘upside down’ and the way he folds his arms across his chest when he’s not yet sold on something.
Photos help us to remember forever
